Jeff Nagele was born and raised in New Orleans and currently resides in Destrehan with his wife and six children. After graduating from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting, Jeff passed the CPA exam and received his certification in 1989. Shortly thereafter he recieved his license to practice public accounting in the state of Louisiana. Jeff has 25 years of experience with a wide variety of business, accounting, tax, and management situations, including three years of intensive experience at the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche.
A member of the AICPA (American Institute of CPA's) and the Louisiana Society of CPA's, Jeff has been a guest lecturer for the LSU Accounting Association, Loyola University Accounting classes, the prestigious LSU Internal Audit school, Ole Miss Beta Alpha Psi Chapter, and the UNO Accounting Association. Jeff is past president of various local professional accounting organizations. He has also volunteered his time on numerous occassions to mentor disadvantaged youth through organizations such as INROADS.
Jeff is very active in his church - he and his wife, the former Karen Hymel of Metairie, counsel engaged couples on the joys and challenges of married life. Jeff is a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Pastoral Council. Their three oldest daughters regularly travel to Mexico on summer mission trips to orphanages and hospitals for disabled children. Jeff has coached over 20 little league teams through the Destrehan Booster club including football (where he feels most comfortable), baseball, and softball. Jeff also volunteers with the River Region Ballet which has included performing on stage for 12 years in the Nutcracker ballet and assorted other productions.
